I’m the founder of Nimba. People would say I’m a bit OCD, but I just like things to be right. I’ve always loved technology and the things it can do to make our lives easier. I don’t like compliance and shuffling paper much either, so if there’s a way to streamline a process then I’ll use it. 

My main hobby’s rowing and often you’ll find me out on the Waimak, or if the weather’s rubbish  helping in the shed. 

I have worked in accounts and administration for over 20 years. In my spare time you will find me and my family either at the speedway or fixing cars.

I have worked in administration for 10 years and been bookkeeping since 2018. I have two young sons that keep me on my toes and in my spare time I enjoy spending time with family, travelling, cooking, and reading.

I worked at an accountancy firm before joining Nimba, but I prefer bookkeeping. You can really get to know what’s going on in the business and feel like you’re helping. I love doing cashflows and budgets - it’s almost like a game of chess, where you’re thinking 2-3 steps ahead.

Outside work you’ll find me around home gardening, or out in the hills around Methven. I really enjoy anything sporty or outdoors with my family, and I still play hockey (although supposedly I’m retiring this year - watch this space!)

I’ve been running payroll since my early 20s, so for at least 15 years! I’m a very black-and-white person; I like that the payroll process has a clear start and a clear end, but because there are people involved, there are always enough variables to keep it interesting.

My husband and I live in Oxford with our two little dogs, and we love to go to Queenstown whenever we have time. It’s our favourite place to be.
